In 2021-2023, jannekederksen worked as a landscape designer and advisor for the Dorpshart Commissie working group. This process is described on this page.
The Dorpsraad (Village Council) has established a committee called the "Dorpshart committee" for the redesign of the village center. The goal of this committee is to bring the design of the village center closer to fruition. The first step in this process is to take an inventory of the principles, opportunities, and desires of the Groessense population with regards to the village center.
The task of the committee is to take inventory of the wishes and needs of the village regarding the design of the village center. The building blocks for this inventory are the "Marsroute" (2014), the principles from the landschape vision of Sant & Co (2019), and the current situation. Involving the people of Groessen in this process is essential.

Inspiration afternoon
On October 16th, 2021, an inspiration afternoon was organized for the people of Groessen to gather their ideas concerning the plans for a beautiful village center for Groessen. They were able to use "mood boards" to stick on stickers representing their preferred ideas. Additionally, there were sheets available where people could write and draw their ideas. Members of the "Dorpshart committee" provided explanations upon request about the information that was displayed. In a pleasant atmosphere, an estimated 250 visitors shared numerous ideas and visions regarding various topics and aspects related inspiration afternoonto a beautiful village center.
Not only were ideas exchanged, but there was also plenty to do. Many visitors took advantage of the opportunity to climb the church tower, and the Stichting Herbestemming Andreaskerk Groessen (Foundation for the Reuse of the Andreaskerk Groessen) also drew a lot of interest. Plant enthusiast and expert Mark Heebing made several rounds with interested parties and informed them about the planting around the village center. Information about "Groessen Bloeit" and the Klompenpaden (wooden shoe paths) was also available. The older youth had the opportunity to participate in a soccer match and jump on the bouncy castle, and they also flexed their muscles in the competition for the title "the strongest person in Groessen."
In preparation for the inspiration afternoon, the primary school IKC Joannes was also involved: children contributed their beautiful sketches/drawings of the future village center, which were displayed at the event. On the day itself, the youngest visitors made beautiful sidewalk chalk drawings on the Schuttersplein.
